Breakfast is available to all students before school and at nutrition break. Lunch is available to all students during lunch break.

The Daily Bell Schedule

Students at OCSCS follow a full day bell schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wedensdays is early release when students are out 1 hour earlier. 

 

Unless it's a non-student day or a minimum day schedule, students are expected to attend daily according to the bell schedule.​

Zero Period

For the 2025-2026 academic school year zero period is offered for PE and Jazz Band. 

Zero period starts at 7:50 AM on Monday, Tuesday,Thursday and Friday. 

Zero period starts at 8:00 AM on Wednesday.

Cafeteria Hours

Cafeteria Breakfast window is open 8:20 a.m. - 8:50 a.m. &

during nutrition break 10:50 a.m. - 11:05 a.m. on Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri

Cafeteria Breakfast window is open 8: 20 a.m. - 8:50 a.m. & during nutrition break 10:26 a.m. - 10:41 a.m. on Wednesdays

Minimum Day Schedule

OCSCS has minimum days on the following dates for the 2025-2026 academic school year:

  • Middle School Grading Day - Friday, October 17, 2025

  • Middle School Gradin Day - Friday, March 20, 2026

  • Semester Finals (secondary only) - Wednesday, June 10, 2026

  • Semester Finals (secondary only) Thursday, June 11, 2026

Students are released at 1:30 PM on minimum days

OCSCS Specific Non-Student Days

Charter school are allotted 5 non-student days for professional development and learning for the staff. The following are the non-student days for the 2025-2026 academic school year:​

  • Monday, November 10, 2025

  • Monday, December 1, 2025

  • Monday, January 5, 2026

  • Monday, March 23, 2026

  • Monday, April 13, 2026

PYLUSD has the following non-student days for the 2024-2025 school year:
